Workplace Assessments
A structured, evidence-based approach to assessing psychosocial working conditions and supporting organisational risk management.
Understand your psychosocial work environment
COPSOQ AU provides organisations with an independent assessment of psychosocial working conditions, offering a detailed picture of the work environment and information to support psychosocial risk management.
Assessments are coordinated through COPSOQ AU using a consistent approach to planning, survey administration, analysis, Australian benchmarking and organisational reporting.
Each assessment is scoped according to workforce size, organisational structure and reporting requirements.
Assessment Planning and Administration
-
We work with the organisation to understand its workforce structure and assessment requirements, including participating employees, locations, organisational units and relevant workforce groups. This initial scoping informs the assessment design and quotation.
-
Organisational and subgroup reporting requirements are agreed before survey administration. Reporting is structured to provide meaningful information while maintaining appropriate participant confidentiality.
-
COPSOQ AU is configured according to the agreed assessment structure. Communication materials are provided to support organisations in informing employees about the assessment, participation and confidentiality arrangements.
-
Employees are invited to complete COPSOQ AU through a secure survey process over an agreed assessment period. Participation is monitored and reminders are provided where appropriate.
Analysis, Benchmarking and Reporting
-
Results are analysed across COPSOQ AU dimensions at the overall organisational level and, where appropriate, across agreed organisational groups. Group-level reporting is subject to appropriate confidentiality requirements.
-
Organisational results are compared with Australian reference values to provide context for understanding their relative position. Benchmarking supports interpretation but does not, by itself, determine the level of psychosocial risk.
-
COPSOQ AU prepares reporting that brings together findings across psychosocial working conditions, Australian benchmark comparisons and agreed group-level analyses.
Reporting highlights areas of relative strength and working conditions requiring further consideration.
-
Findings are interpreted to support organisational understanding and discussion. Results should be considered alongside organisational context and worker consultation when assessing psychosocial risks and determining appropriate responses.
Assessment scope and costs
Assessment costs are determined by workforce size, organisational structure and reporting requirements. Following initial scoping, COPSOQ AU provides a quotation based on the proposed assessment and reporting structure and any additional support required.
