Workplace Assessments
Workplace assessments help organisations meet WHS obligations while building healthier, more engaging environments. COPSOQ offers a validated and trusted way to identify psychosocial risks and strengths within your workplace.
Initial Assessment and Planning
-
Map out how your organisation is structured — such as departments, teams or job roles. This ensures results are meaningful and actionable at the right levels.
-
Employees can access COPSOQ through a secure online platform or paper forms. All responses are anonymous to protect confidentiality and build trust in the process.
-
Clear communication is critical. Schedules, messages and information sheets help managers and employee reps explain the purpose, timing and value of the survey.
-
The survey typically stays open for 3–4 weeks. Reminders encourage participation and ensure a reliable response rate.
Implementation, Reporting and Action
-
Ensure anonymity by only reporting on groups of 5 or more. Data can be presented at both the whole-organisation and team/unit levels, so you can see the big picture while also understanding local differences.
-
Results are compared with Australian reference values. This highlights areas where your workplace is performing strongly, as well as where psychosocial risks may be elevated.
-
Visual summaries, group-level comparisons and recommendations for action. Reports should be accessible for leadership teams, employee representatives, and staff alike.
-
Assess the need for action and support the decision making process on preventive measures
